I started working as a trainee psychotherapist in 2006 - NHS and private practice. The bcpc MA Psychotherapy training, is a professional UKCP accredited training, validated by Middlesex University. Humanistic and Psychoanalytical theory and practice are combined within a Relational understanding of human development and needs.
In 2010 I joined tfsw Trauma Foundation South West. The different ways in which ancestral trauma can be unconsciously transmitted to future generations, became the focus of my MA research.
Psychotherapists are required to be in their own therapy throughout training, attend regular CPD events and have supervision for all their work. I have professional insurance and adhere to the
codes of conduct and ethics of UKCP & bcpc - which include a commitment to my ongoing personal development and learning.
